Brad Brown is the managing director of Bradford Brown Capital Partners (BBCP), a partnership that makes private, direct investments in search funds and early-stage venture. Over the past fifteen years, he has invested in over 70 operating companies.  

He has professional expertise in SaaS, cloud, AI, big data, and fintech.


He focuses his board work on tech-enabled companies, and is on the board of several private growth buy-outs including Blue Sky Network, ISI Telemanagement, Attainia, and CarData. In addition, BBCP invests in earlier-stage tech companies. Presently the fund is invested in a dozen startups, of which five are companies where Mr. Brown is either an advisor or board director: Unqork, Afiniti, Liine, BlueVoyant and OneVision. 


Mr. Brown is also a Senior Partner Emeritus of McKinsey & Company, where he was a senior leader of the Technology practice, and the global leader of the Big Data practice. He worked with clients to implement strategies around growth, automation, analytics, and cloud.  He also worked in Fintech and InsurTech. For seven years, he led the Global Insurance Technology practice, and is well known across the industry.


Prior to joining McKinsey, Mr. Brown was a partner in the Stenbeck Group of companies, where he was a member of the board of several companies and a working member of the top 30 executives worldwide. Prior to that, he was the Managing Director of Arthur D. Little’s North American information technology practice, with management and P&L responsibility.


Mr. Brown was also a Trustee of Connecticut College from 2013 to 2020, and chaired the Committee on Trustees, and the Committee on Advancement.


Mr. Brown is a graduate of Dartmouth College.  He also received a Masters in Computer Science from UPenn, and an MBA from the Wharton School. He is a season ticket holder of the New England Patriots.

Sam Marwaha


Sam Marwaha

Sam Marwaha was a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he founded and led the healthtech and mediatech practices. He then became a senior partner at BCG, within the B Capital Group (VC) and Digital Ventures (incubator), playing a lead role with health tech companies.  He was also the launch CEO of Blink Health, a leading innovator in providing low-cost pharmacy drug plans using technology. He is currently working with several tech-enabled growth companies: as chief commercial officer for Evidation Health; senior advisor and investor in ScrollStack, a marketplace for creators.


Ajay Gupta

Ajay Gupta

Ajay Gupta is a Senior Partner Emeritus with McKinsey and Company. He brings 28 years of experience across all segments of healthcare, covering commercial and growth topics, corporate strategy, M&A, large scale performance improvement, organization design and aspiration setting. He led McKinsey’s Midwest Healthcare Practice and North America Medical Products. 


Ajay has served medical technology companies, pharma/biotech, health systems, academic centers, post-acute providers, drug store chains, specialty pharmacy, PBMs, HCIT, distributors/other intermediaries and disease management. Ajay has published articles on new therapy adoption, commercial excellence, pricing/contracting, digital marketing, industry consolidation and M&A. His experience covers ambulatory, acute and post-acute care settings.  


Ajay serves on the Boards of Healthium Medtech, BJC Healthcare and OnPoint Surgical. He also serves on the RAND Corporation Health Advisory Board, and on the Keystone Board of Shirley Ryan Ability Lab. He is an active private investor, with over a dozen investments focused on growth companies and innovation across sectors. 


Prior to McKinsey, Ajay spent 5 years in oilfield services with Schlumberger Wireline in Europe and Asia. He holds an MBA from Stanford University where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar, and a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi where he was awarded the President's Gold Medal.
